KEVIN ROWLES SPEAKS ABOUT HIS BOOkLET ON ALEXANDRINA

Recently were sent to Kevin Rowles the following questions concerning his Alexandrina’s booklet:

1 – How did start your interest for Alexandrina’s life and work?
2 – Can you describe your booklet in some words?
3 – How is the public responding to it?
4 – What have been the main sources where have you researched?

Here are his answers:

1) I first learnt of Blessed Alexandrina in the mid-1980's. A friend lent me
Francis Johnston's book "The Agony and the Glory". The book left a deep
impression on me.

2) I wanted to write a booklet which would give an overall brief summary of the life and mission of Alexandrina, but also be an inexpensive resource that would be able to reach as many as possible. The low price will hopefully encourage people to buy multiple copies to give to others, and so spread knowledge of Blessed Alexandrina, and also to pray for her canonisation. I believe that Alexandrina's message is needed now more than ever - especially for people to do the First Five Saturday devotions as requested by Our Lady.

3) I launched the booklet on 13th October 2006 - the feast of Blessed
Alexandrina. Since then I have sold just under 1,000 copies and will be
getting more printed soon. The booklet has been received very well.

4) The main sources I have used are listed in the bibliography at the back of the booklet.
